As part of our ongoing program to improve our service to customers we have set our sights on streamlining and improving procedures in our offices as well as being able to give our customer real-time updates on arrival times for our engineers as well as instant feedback and reporting following our engineers site visits . So we began looking at ways to do this, so that we could concentrate on our core business functions i.e. Servicing maintaining and installing HVAC equipment.
After a lot of research which included trialling different devices and software we finally found the product that worked for us. It allowed us to connect our helpdesk team to our operatives in the field, allowing us to send and receive information quickly and efficiently
Introducing the Motivity Mobile Android app
This app was recently developed in partnership with our CRM supplier to considerably reduce paperwork in the field and the hours we spend processing the same. This has allowed us to free up our time, and to concentrate on efficiency elsewhere, consequently benefitting the customer.
From job dispatch, through to capturing our customer’s signature on completion of visit, it provides a complete and easy to use solution. The system allows us to hold a searchable parts database, take digital photos, record assets, and action specific requests etc. The system automatically sends updates regarding job progress, and allows you to prompt field based staff with site specific action points.
Appstation, the company who create the Motivity app, can also build custom business forms into the system, something we are looking to utilise in the form of warehouse stock allocation.
Being a Refcom accredited firm http://www.refcom.org.uk we are expected to work to the very highest standards, in managing our refrigerant gasses and protecting the environment. With this in mind we needed a simpler and more efficient way to track our refrigerant gas cylinders in the field. We are proud to be a REFCOM registered firm and are serious about protecting the environment now and in the future.
We required the app to allocate gas bottles to engineers with minimal margin for error when inputting. The app will allow the engineer to simply scan bar codes saving time in inputting data, but more importantly eliminating user error as serial numbers can on occasions be input incorrectly. As this was not currently a feature, the guys at App Station got to work creating something which will meet our needs. We were given a three month window for the feature to be created, which is due to go live in the next few months .
We look forward to the update.
